Morocco travel tour

chez ali

Located on the outskirts of Marrakech, Ali's House is a restaurant that combines Berber traditional culture and performance. The restaurant is landscaped with a castle and uses traditional Arabic architectural style. Stepping into it feels like you are in the fairy tale "One Thousand and One Nights".

ceremony from 8 pm

The restaurant begins to welcome visitors at 8 o'clock every night. At this time, riders will ride horses and line up outside the city to greet the guests who come in droves. Walking into the city, there are performers playing music and singing all the way. They wore Berber costumes, played flutes, drums, sang, and danced. They lined up from the moment they entered the gate to the end of the city, and their performances were different.

Moroccan style dinner

After watching the performances along the way, you can sit down in the dining area and prepare to eat. The dining area is decorated like a huge tent, allowing people to fully experience the culture of the nomadic Berbers. The restaurant usually opens at nine o'clock and provides appetizers, main dishes and fruits. The main dishes include tagines and couscous, which are traditional Moroccan dishes. During the meal, drummers will come in to play drums and sing to add to the fun, and Berber women will also come to invite the guests to dance.

stunning performance

After the meal, it’s show time. Visitors will move to the equestrian show field outside the dining area to wait for the exciting show that starts around 10 o'clock. The first thing to start is the equestrian show. A dozen horses (and a little donkey) will line up and sprint forward. The riders on the horses hold long guns and shoot in the air on the running horses when they are about to reach the finish line. The gunfire was deafening, piercing the quiet night and shocking the audience present. After running in formation, there will be individual performances between the riders and horses - each rider will ride a horse around the field and perform stunts such as handstands, dismounting and fetching objects on horseback. The cutest thing among them is the performance of the little donkey. After the equestrian show, there is a belly dance and Gnawa music performance, and finally a final farewell ceremony for all performers.
